Dealing with marital problems can be a challenging and emotional process. For some, these issues might transition to the couple seeking separation or filing for divorce. Parents in Ohio understand that the decision to get a divorce is never an easy one, but, when the best interest of the child is concerned, dissolution might be their best option. This could initially lead to disputes concerning child custody, but, if the parents are able to work together and focus on a positive and healthy environment and relationship with the child, they could establish an agreeable and fair custody arrangement.
After their recent filing for separation, actor and singer Hilary Duff and her estranged husband have been working on co-parenting. Their young son, Luca, is their main priority, and the two have been able to spend time with each other for their son.
Duff married the Canadian NHL player in 2010, and the couple cited that the split was amicable. They are moving forward and creating a new relationship that honors happiness. Their focus remains on their 2-year-old son, and their ability to spend time with each other is not just for their son, but also for them. Even if they have decided to split, they are able to co-parent and remain kind to one another. It is not clear whether the couple will file for divorce in the near future, but they have stated that they are not getting back together.
When parents determine they can no longer remain married that does not mean that they cannot maintain a positive relationship. Collaborating and working together in the divorce process can help promote a fair and quick divorce settlement. Furthermore, child custody arrangements are more easily established and adjusted when parents can communicate act fair and focus on their children.
Developing a co-parenting plan might not be as easy as some hope, even if they are willing to work together. Those seeking to develop a parenting plan should seek guidance or assistance so they can develop a fair arrangement.
